It’s that time of the week again, Monday - The day where we
all feel lethargic because we are back to work, after our relaxing weekend full
of exotic and delicious foods. If you are
anything like us, you would have spent the morning thinking about all the food
you ate at the weekend, daydreamed about a nice cool glass of white wine and
you may have thought about what you are going to have for dinner tonight, at
least 5 times before lunch!
Just because you are pining over the weekend’s decadence, doesn't
mean that you can’t plan for the week ahead. In fact you SHOULD plan your meals
for the week as it helps you plan your shopping and helps you save those precious
pennies. Planning your meals throughout
the week also means that you will stop stressing about what you are going to
eat when you get home from work to having something to look forward too.
When creating a weekly meal plan you need to make sure that
it is varied so you don’t get bored, or change your mind whilst at 2 work and
grab yourself a cheeky take away on the way home. To give you a little inspiration,
We here at Cooker Spare Parts we have dug deep into our recipe archives and
found some brilliant meals to get your meal planning started.
Monday: Slow cooked
This Bolognese looks and sounds incredible. This recipe is all about slow cooking your
beef over the course of a few hours to make it truly melt-in-your-mouth tender,
and produce a gorgeous sauce that is full of meaty flavour.
Even though this Bolognese sauce is something to die for, it
does mean that there is a bit more extra work involved in its creation than a
standard spag bol.
Make sure you attempt this recipe when you have time – you will
not regret it!

Not going to lie to you – spaghetti squash is literally my
jam. I can’t get enough, and I hope that after you try this recipe from the
kitchn.com, you will be well on your way to joining me in the midst of my
spaghetti squash addiction.
Spaghetti squash is nowhere like eating the real thing, but it
is so mild the texture just melts away in your mouth.
This meal can be prepped the night before and kept refrigerated,
making it ideal for a busy week day.

This baguette is again ideal if you are in a rush one week
day night, and need to grab a quick bite to eat, or you can make all your
co-workers jealous of your lunch by showing this beast off at lunch time!
Now we love anything with Tofu, not only is it animal
friendly, it is really good for you, and above all else its SO tasty. However
if tofu is just not your thing then you can swap it for chicken or pork – the choices

Thursday: Orange and
Tomato Simmered Chicken with Couscous
Are your ready for a flavour explosion? Then this is the
dish for you! Slow- simmer the chicken to make sure it is extra tender,
complementing the complex layered flavours of this dish!
This dish has made it onto our list for many reasons, it is
tremendously customisable; don’t like couscous? Switch it for brown rice, not a
fan of fennel? How about changing it for cauliflower? You can also add any vegetables to this dish
as you see fit. And above all else, it only takes 30 minutes to cook!

if we didn’t celebrate with a tasty pizza! So hold off calling your local pizza
delivery and check out this recipe!
Ok so, Sausage, Kale and pesto may not be a combination that
you would usually go for on your pizza. But you honestly have to trust us when
we tell you that you have been missing out.
